Terrible 3's
I know they say terrible 2's but I swear they are worse at 3. One night it was kind of late and all the kids were in bed except of course Keiffer. I was finishing dinner dishes and he wanted a fruit snack. I said "oh no, you have brushed your teeth and it is bedtime." He went bolistic and threw a fit, crying and saying in his mean gruff voice "I hate you mom" and I would say "oh but I love you" After about 20 min. of fighting with him I just decieded to ignore him, I almost forgot he was even in the kitchen and figured he must have gone to bed until I turned around and there we was asleep on the dirty laundry. These are the best of times and the worst of times. Charles Dickens

Friday Night Fun
So to continue my not so great friday, all is calm here at home, kids are quietly watching a movie, Gabe and I are playing with Maren and things are happy. Not sure what I am going to do about the car yet, but everyone is content and soon to be heading to bed. Then out comes the icecream, m&m's, cinnamon bears and THE OFFICE.

FABULOUS FRIDAY? NOT SO MUCH!!!!!!!
The alarm went off at 5:30 this morning, I got myself out of bed at 6:00, started pancakes for the kids and went downstairs to wake them up. They got up pretty good this morning, we sat down on the couch had our morning prayer and read our scriptures. It is quite amazing how every story that we have been reading in the old testament is all about obedience. We read about Jonah today and after every chapter we read I say "now what was that about?" and they reply "obeying" and what happens when we obey, good things happen and what happens when we do not obey, bad things happen, yes and I have to yell at you. So let's do our best and obey.
We then proceeded with breakfast, I swear if Malorie could be any slower, she sits and stares at her food for what seems like 20 min straight, same with using the bathroom. Drives me crazy. Ok, so they got done eating and Tav was sticky from the syrup so I told him to go wash his hands and brush his teeth while he was at it. I sat in the rocker patiently waiting for Malorie to finish her breakfast so I could help her get dressed and do her hair. This was at 6:45. They leave the house at 7:15. Then I realized it was pretty quiet in the back so I went to check on Tav, he had gotten into my bed with Gabe. So, yes I was a little upset and got mad at him and made him go get ready. Then Malorie was finally ready and got her dressed but of course her shirt went all funny when she sat down and she started whining that she didn't want to wear it. So, I told her to go get another one then but she did not want too. I stood up and by this time it was 7:00, went into the bathroom, started my bath water becuase I was not going to do my hair today. Got in the tub and sat there. Gabe came in and said what else do they need to do? Get shoes on and comb their hair I guess. I then asked Gabe what time it was and it was 7:15 so I said get them out the door. So, they left this morning with hair not done and Mal in tears becuase she couldn't find her shoes.
I then started feeling guilty sitting in the tub in silence, what a horrible mom I am, that was really no big deal. So, I jumped out of the tub, got dressed and went to the bus stop to give them hugs and kisses and tell them I love them. I have sworn to myself I will never let them leave the house upset or thinking that I am mad at them. I did that to much when I was young with my step dad. It is a horrible feeling. So after that I felt much better except that they kind of look like ragga muffins today.
So, I then got the other two sweeties ready for the day and headed off to get an oil change on the van. Dropped it off at Doug Smith Auto and headed East down main street with the stroller, Maren and Keiffer to walk about 7 blocks to pick up Maren's 9 month pictures. On the way back Doug Smith called and said a couple things we noticed while doing your oil change, one the air filter needs to be changed and that will be $20.00, then your battery is really dirty so to clean that and seal it it will be 24.95 and then your water pumb is leaking that will be $289.00 why don't they start with the worst first then by the end it looks a little better. I swear they always find something wrong with my car. They just think I am money bags, don't they know I don't work anymore? So, I told them just change the air filter and oil for today. We then went to Target to get a small birthday gift for one of Mal's friends, I hate Target, I always find more than what I need. I found a really cute sweater shirt type thing but the color I really liked didn't have a small so I decided the medium was ok and I was feeling pretty aaarrrggggg!!!! about my car so I bought a orange one in med and a blue one in small. They are very cute and I felt better, but I am sure that buyers remorse will set in soon and I might take one back. Maybe I will take a picture and let you all see how cute I look in it.
Ok, so I finally made it out of Target after fighting with Keiffer about buying a toy, he settled for a icee and a pizza. We picked up the car and ran to J Ballard to drop off some Scentsy Catalogs. That was really sad. Not many people left. The economy is pretty depressing right now. But it was good to see the friends that are still there.
Next we headed to the bank, got done there and tried to roll up the van window, guess what it wouldn't go up. I think it might rain tonight and I still have to go to Karate. Oh the joys, but hey, we are all alive and thank goodness for that. I am now home and the two young ones are asleep in the car and the first thing I did was come in and blog for all you who check my blog everyday and sometimes twice a day and are disappointed that there is nothing new. I will get back on and let you know how the rest of the day pans out. You should all be proud of me for blogging. Also, there might be more to come about my summer. I am getting closer to blogging it all down.

French Bread
2 1/2 C. Warm Water
2 TBS. Sugar
2 TBS Dry Yeast
1 TBS Salt
2 TBS Cooking Oil
6 C. Flour
In large mixing bowl pour warm water, then stir in sugar and yeast and allow to stand until yeast is dissolved. Stir in salt, oil and half the flour. Beat vigorously. Stir in remaining flour until all dry ingredients are completely mixed in. Allow dough to rise for 10 min, then punch down, repeat rising 5 times. Turn dough onto flour surface, knead only enough to coat dough with flour so it can be handled (2 or 3 times) then divide into 2 parts. Roll each part of dough into rectangles about 9x13 and roll up like a jelly roll, from long side. Pinch edge of loaf, arrange length wise on cookie sheet, sprinkled with cornmeal. Let rise at room temp. for 30 min. With sharp knife cut 3 gashes at an angle on top, then brush with lightly beaten whole egg. Bake immediately at 400 for 25-30 min. or until golden brown.
