GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

This crazy little blog is always in the back of my mind, but I can never seem to fit it in as much as I would like to. I read all the other blogs occasionally and cannot figure out how you all do it. So I guess my once every three months will have to do for now. It has been a while so I will quickly update on the highlights of the last three months. I will try to get them in order as best I can but I am not very good and arranging on this blog. Here we go:

Gabe had surgery at the end of October and was on crutches and a walking boot for 8-10 weeks. Let me tell you how much fun that was. At first it was like having a 5th child. He felt bad and did his best to do what he could to still help. I was very very greatful when he could walk again. His recovery is going well and seems to be almost back to normal.

Halloween came and went and we had some fun times trick or treating with family in Springville. No, Gabe was not able to go so he sat around at my mom's until we were finished. The guy in the picture dressed as blue man from The Vegas Blue Man Group is my older brother.

Yes, Maren turned one and we celebrated her birthday with family at my mom's. We celebrated a little late and waited until Thanksgiving weekend when everyone was together. It was a lot of fun.

Gabe and I both turned another year older and let's just say for me it hasn't been all that great. I will go into more detail about that in another post.
.
This is Maren, she is just a little ticked becuase she didn't get to help decorate the tree.

Christmas came and left in a flash as it always seems to do. I think we got our trees up just in time to take them down. I don't know where the time went. It was a great Christmas and we spent time once again at my mom's. We are there a lot these days. We love being there and spending time with family. We love to play games and spend time talking and making fun of each other. We are a close family, even the sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws. We are blessed to have everyone close and get along. On Christmas Eve is when my mom has her family party. The girls go shopping with my mom the day after Thanksgiving to pick out the gifts that are for the kids from my mom. Then we party hardy and eat a lot of food and then sit down to open gifts. These pics are at my mom's house. We were all there together. It was a lot of fun.
My sister-in-law and I decided that the kids shouldn't get all the fun so we piggybacked the the hill and didn't get to far.

We took a little tubing trip to Jolley's Ranch up Springville Canyon on one of our many visit's to my mom's. That was a lot of fun.

Now the new year is here with a lot of New Year's Resolutions that I won't really get into, but am working on.

I recently learned how to make a dress thanks to the help of Mariah Green. Here it is, I love it and it looks really cute on Maren.

For Christmas Grandma Carol gave Malorie a set of cooking dishes that came with an apron and a hot pad so she wanted to have her first cooking lesson. We made mac and cheese. She did a really good job.
And that is it in a nut shell. I hope I get to blogging again before another 3 months. has passed.
