GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

Gabe and I both turned another year older and let's just say for me it hasn't been all that great. I will go into more detail about that in another post.
We took a little tubing trip to Jolley's Ranch up Springville Canyon on one of our many visit's to my mom's. That was a lot of fun.
Now the new year is here with a lot of New Year's Resolutions that I won't really get into, but am working on.
I recently learned how to make a dress thanks to the help of Mariah Green. Here it is, I love it and it looks really cute on Maren.

Happy 60th
So, my mom turned 60 on August 23rd, 2008. My Brother's and Sister and I planned a suprise party for her with all her family and some friends. We went up Springville Canyon and used the Rotary Park. Thanks to my dad and all his help for getting it for us. He is amazing, it was his birthday too but he just sat back and let her have all the suprise. It was a lot of fun and she was very suprised, had no idea. Infact, when she got home from church my dad told her we had stopped by and wanted to go up the canyon to bbq and that we were waiting for her. She was pretty irritated becuase she had already invited my other brother and his family over becuase she thought I was busy having a block party. She didn't know what to do about them and then she paniced trying to get food all thrown together becuase she just knew I wouldn't have grabbed everything we needed. Then when they drove up she thought to herself, Doug (my dad) what an idiot, why did you send them here look at all these people and where are we going to bbq. Little did she know it was her suprsie party.

Spanish Fork 5K
My sister and I just recently ran the Spanish Fork 5k, this was our second 5k of the year. We had planned to run or jog or walk more than that but we had a few set backs. Our next one is on Oct. 11, in Provo and then we have one on Thanksgiving Day. So here we are in all our glory doing our best just to finish the race.

No, this is not me or my sister below, I just had to post this picture. This guy ran the half marathon and looked like this the whole time. What are we thinking wanting to run one next year? It looked kind of painful.
